smashed screen

i have a smashed front screen, the lcd screen works fine but i dont know what the part i am after is called ,,, its th pit which your finger makes contact fith and not the lcd screen. any links to the cheapest one please. its 8gb so i guess its 1st gen ?

take it back to apple they will take it in part exchange for a refurbed one and fix your old one to be sold on.

i dont see a screen for the 1st gen.. il post u a link from ebay, tell me if its ok?
