    Forgotten PIN 3rd gen IPodd

    Hi
I haven't used my Ipod for a while and can't remember the PIN I used. Is there a default one to override it?

    Many thanks

    you can try this

    Plug in your iPod

    Go to "My Computer"

Open your iPod's drive (F for me)

Make sure you can see all hidden folders (If you aren't sure go to Tools, Folder Options, View Tab, and check Show)

    Open the folder "iPod_Control"

    Open the folder called "Device"

Rename the file "_locked" to "_unlocked"

    Hope this helps

Can be very tricky, best to dfu,and re sync. However this is how by ssh: not my work !!

Can't get into your iDevice because you forgot your passcode? Here's a solution that works, and doesn't involve a DFU restore!

          You will need:
          a jailbroken iDevice
to have OpenSSH installed on your iDevice
          iTunes
An SSH client on your PC (For Windows, WinSCP. Mac users, Cyberduck)
WARNING: THIS SOLUTION WILL RESET SOME PASSWORDS IN APPS.
          How-to:
Open your SSH client. Turn on your iDevice and connect it to your computer via SSH; There are plenty of tutorials of how to do that around the net. Try "SSH iphone" or something similar on google.
Navigate to the root folder. Then go to var. Then into a folder called "Keychains".
          Delete the file named "keychain-2.bd"
Restart your iDevice. You should now be able to unlock it without entering a passcode.
THIS TUTORIAL WAS WROTE FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES AND TO HELP USERS. DO NOT USE THIS GUIDE TO GET INTO STOLEN DEVICES!!
