Can you layer/build the MAC face&body foundation?

I know it's very sheer, and I want to purchase it. Is it buildable? For example if I do a layer, let it dry, then do another layer on the redder areas I have? Btw I have pretty good skin, just a few pimples on my forehead and I'm young so I want something light and natural looking. Thanks!

ducting, dont layer the foundation, buy a concealer to go under it for the more redder area's and the pimples
