    3DS anyone?

Any of you lads getting the 3DS on release day?

I'm looking forward to the 3DS to come out, but only because I'm hoping the prices of the DSI XL will be slashed.

i am waiting to see what they are like, but as for the DSI XL being "slashed" i doubt it,maybe the dsi will be !!that didnt seem to be as popular(all bull of course, always megasellers),anyway Nintendo`s seem to keep their price for a while....

Ah, I was hoping the XL prices would come down Mickey, that's what I have been hanging on for.

I personaly will not be buying a 3DS, suppose I shall just keep my eyes open for a XL bundle deal from the usual sites.

Funny thing bout the 3DS adverts, they are showing lots of the console, and it looks an attractive bit of kit, but they are not showing any game play at all. I thought they would of been promoting some actual game footage.

Interesting stuff but I doubt the bit about blocking the console will ever come true, it is one thing saying 'i aint fixing it' when you use an unauthorised device but actively breaking something you have paid for is a huge risk legally.

You could argue that you lent it to a friend, or you were given it off a family member etc.

No, I can't see that happening miself.

Anyway, my lad has got his sweaty palm around his savings waiting for release day, he had me looking at the promo videos last night and it does look impressive.

                yes,
i was thinking along the same lines myself....

but also i think it strange that flashcarts appear to be working on the 3ds without any added protection.....

it might just be scare mongering,
do you think they could maybe just block the online play in the sameway as xbox etc if they detect illegal use?

, dont sound like your lad will be holding back anyway

Sounds a bit far fetched to be honest

the flash carts helped sell more ds IMO , i know i had to do 30+ cards for family etc who would never had bought a ds if they had to pay full wack for games.

the sales on the ps3 have goon way up since it was jailbreak etc .

nintendo are happy with the was it is me thinks, just having to block cards now and then for the share holders ect.
