those cards are clopnes....
its a bit of a longshot, you could try this.....
R4-SDHC--R4i-SDHC TTMenu.rar
i havent used it myself as i dont have one those cards, but if it works it'll let you play newer games.
backup your sd card before trying new firmware first, so you copy original files back....Comment

That's not a faulty card. The R4 SDHC cards won't play the new games
You need to get the R4i SDHC cards as the new games will be version 1.4.1Comment

version 1.4.1 refers to firmware that the console is running, nothing to do with games.
it is possible to get the very newest games running on an original r4 card using the correct firmware,
also r4i sdhc cards are a hit and a miss too.
some will work on dsi 1.4.1 some wont even play on dsi's 1.4.
add to that they are not that well supported, you would struggle to find correct firmware and play new games with these cards.....Comment

No some of the newer games won't work with the original R4 DS card. I have one and it won't play the new games from the past few months.
If you can find a software version for my R4 DS to work the new games it would be much appreciated!
The latest file released was 2008-04-24 version 1.18. This is roughly the time that the original team pulled their R4DS website.
My R4i SDHC plays all the new games on my DSComment

delete your old firmware on your old r4 card and try this m8,
Digital Kaos - Downloads - woods 1.27
extract and copy _rpg folder and dsmenu file to root of sd card
if your card is original or a 1:1 clone, it'll play almost all games....
