acekard2i fault

hi,can anyone help,all of a sudden,my daughters dsi says,an error has occurred.see nintendo dsi operations manual,the card we have is the acekard2i,when i put card in her other ds [lite] the card works fine.i have formated card but no joy,please help.

when you used to put the acecard into the dsi, can you remember which icon it showed up as.

either danny phanton or alex ryder stormbreaker?

what F/W are you runing this is the latest from what ive read Digital Kaos - Downloads - akaio 1.8.6 (acecards) find barrowmanandrew on this site and im sure he can help you

the icon is still there,its danny phantom,when i click on that ,thats when it shows fault.

right m8, what has happened is you have updated your dsi to 1.4.1.

you now need to update your acecard.

extract this file and treat it exactly the same as a normal game rom
ak2ifw_update_141_DSL.rar

put it on the sd card and put your acecard into the dslite (i am presuming you have a dslite due to your earlier post)

start the card up in the usual way and click on the icon for the update.

it will ask you to uninsert, re-insert card (with power on)and press a button to continue (cant remeber exactly what it does, just follow the intructions, its very easy)

once you are done test the acecard in the dsi and you should notice the symbol has changed to alex ryder stormbreaker.

you should be back in business....

ps. make sure the ds is plugged into charger when doing update, if battery fails you will brick the card, also remember to delete the update from sd card once your done....

barrowmanandrewn should be able to sort it m8 always has for me stick with m8 it will come good

danny phanton is the kernal update for the dsi 1.4 update.
this is superceeded by the alex ryder 1.4.1 update.

these updates actually reprogram the card itself. this gets round nintys firmware updates.

this is the problem with alot of r4i cards. kernal updates dont work on them so when 1.4 then 1.4.1 dsi updates were released, it stopped most current cards from working.
with acecards, all you need to do is update the card...
