Completely lost

Hello guys!

My R4 card just got delivered and I have absolutely no clue what I need to do now.

The card I ordered is the: Welkom bij Flashcard.es, uw flashkaarten specialist, voor alle Nintendo consoles "Ds,Ds Lite, Dsi, Dsi XL"*::*Flashkaarten*::*R4i Gold + 4GB Micro SD kaart voor de Nintendo DSi / DSi XL (1.4.1. compatible)

The site is Dutch but it should be clear enough to see which card I got.

I tried some firmwares but either they get stuck on Loading... or the screen goes white, I got 1 that worked but pokemon black didn't work on that one so I tried to look for another one with no success.

Could anybody please point me in the right direction?

Edit: forget to mention that I have a DS lite

what exactly does it say on your card?

could you post a picture?

Ah yea the site is in Dutch

It looks like the one in the top right corner.

And on the R4 card itself it says R4 (with a little i in a circle next to it) ver 2.0 and below that it says Revolution for DS, just like the one in the picture.

Links to a page with different brands and versions of cards and download links to firmware for those.

I assumed I needed one of the firmwares linked under the head: ''R4i Gold compatible met NDS - DS lite - DSi - DSi XL''.

I then chose Software R4i Gold versie 1.4.1 update (V2.0) (1.4.1 compatible). That one works when I try it with my DS Lite but when I try Pokemon Black I get a white screen.

So I assumed that I either needed an updated firmware or maybe another rom (this rom worked fine in Desmume though).

I also tried the 1.28 version of the Wood firmware but when I start that it freezes on the Loading... screen and the 1.26 version gives a white screen.

yes m8,
i meant link on the card ...

you must have the right firmware if other games ae working.


need to make sure you have the most up to date firmwae for your card...

pokemon black and white seem to be a problem rom, only work on the very latest firmware...

Haha I already thought so, the url on the card links to R4i Kernel Download-Revolution for which also fails to run Pokemon Black

I researched some more and do I need to format my card in a certain way or with a certain program?

formatting your card wont make any diffrence.
