NINTENDO DSI XL SCREEN NOT RESPONDING

My son's DSI XL screen is not responding when touched to activate a game and also the Start & Select buttons are also not responding.

This situation is frustrating and my son can play any game, any help out there?

Try going to the setting and look through there and there is a touch screen test, if it still does not work, Im so sorry but its probably broken, you can call nintendo ( the number is on the back of your ds)
