    New DSi firmware out 1.42

The latest DSI firmware update is out. Version 1.4.2 for US/EU (1.4.2a for Asia) blocks known flash carts, including the Acekard 2i, EZ-Flash Vi, and Supercard DSTwo. The software-based exploit known as SudokuHax is reported to still function.

    UPDATE!
The first flash cart confirmed still working on the new firmware is the CycloDS iEvolution.
The first team to produce an update to bypass the new firmware is the R4iDSN team.

For a list of all carts confirmed working or blocked by the new firmware, check the On-Going discussion link for up-to-the-minute information..

Can confirm acekard 2i will not work with this. Updated my XL last night and then it refused to boot the acekard 2i. I've been having problems with my acekard but I could at least boot it and goto the menu but after the update it wouldn't boot saying I needed to power off the machine and refer to the operations manual.

I went back to the shop I bought my XL from and replaced it with a new one saying that it wouldn't load my games and they gave me a brand new one with the 1.4.1 firmware.

My Acekard will now boot to the menu on the new machine but i'm still having problems loading games.

Woah why did you update you dsi's firmware in the first place the heads up was to warn people not to update haha. Nintendo's updates are for the sole purpose to block the flashcarts not help yours work.

Its not your dsi thats at fault its your sd card more than likely try formatting with the default windows one (fat32) and retry if not its time to buy a new sd card.

i've tried two different sd cards and have the same problems with both so it can't be the sd cards.
