Hi I just brought an Acekard 2i and have installed akaio 1.8.6a from the acekard website but none of the roms i use will work. The card will load up but when I choose a rom the game loads and the screen either goes white or black. Sometimes it will display nintendo boot up logo. I've tried two different Micro SD cards and the same things happens with both. Anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks.

as far as i can tell the card is real though i don't know if i should take the anti counterfeit sticker off as if i send the card back the company can say i've been tampering with it?Comment

Been playing around a bit more and have some updates.
Metal Slug 7 will load but plays extremely slow.
Metroid Prime will load very slowly and then crash.
GTA Chinatown tried a few times would just get a black screen. Just now the game loaded and then froze on the intro just as the lead character gets shot in the head.
Is it possible that the problem is with the Micro SD card? I've tried two differents ones a cheap 2gb PNY and the 8gb Sans Disk that I bought with the card. Could both of these cards be to slow or shouldn't that matter?Last edited by SpiralTrance; 11 May, 2011, 19:32.Comment

did you format sd cards with a proper formatting tool?
use this to format both sd cards.
Digital Kaos - Downloads - sd formatting tool
then get your firmware from here
Digital Kaos - Downloads - akaio 1.8.6a
once you have done that download a couple of older roms from here.

yes i used the panasonic format tool on both cards. i'll give it another go with the 2gb and use the akaio you gave in the link and will let you knowComment

OK some results. 1 means it loaded, 0 it didn't, * it loaded then crashed

Sent the company an email yesterday about 3 o'clock with a link for the video (which they'd asked for) and asking about a replacement and heard nothing back from them. hi m8,
ive had a look at your video, the only diffrence i see to your setup is the games been in folders,.
just to make absolutely sure:
format your sd card again.
download this rar file and extract it straight to your sd card.
do not put anything into folder, just leave it as it is.....
this is firmware and a couple of roms from my sd card, an older one and a newer one,
just to make sure m8.....
