    I've updated dsi 1.4.2 HELP PLS !!!!

    i have just stupidly updated my dsi and now my r4 sdhc (upgrade) v1.4.1 won't work I have been on the website and updated the kernel to 1.37b and also the 1.42 updater which i put at thr root of the micro sd card but nothing is happening just a error message stating "switch off console and refer to manual" can any 1 tell me if im going wrong somwhere ????

      yes m8,
      you will need to use an older console to perform the update,
      the card wont boot on the updated console.....

          R4i Upgrade

          In addition to other comments on this matter,ensure you copy the kernel files one at a time to the root of your SD card. You also need to upgrade your R4i card on a pre V1.4.2 DS/DSi console. Any will work.

              hi many thanks for the replys but all of the above is not working i have tried the card in a nds without the 1.4.2 upgrade and get a red menu icon ???
              can some one tell me if im doin sumthin wrong???

                  red menu icon means card cannot find firmware..

                  maybe wrong firmware?

                      thanks for the info im using v1.38b and fwup142c but just to mention on the front of my card on the sticker it is R4i SDHC Revolution for NDSi/NDSL/NDS

                              i buy iedge card update my ds and now i have it says an error has occurred

                                  The problem could not be the card mate but the way you may have loaded the firmware. I had the same problem and the solution I posted worked for me. I had also bought a new r4i card only to find out later that there was nothing wrong with the card as my son is currently using it in his DS XL.
