Nintendo DSI and R4i help please!

Hi all, ive got my little un a dsi with a r4i card and im just wondering what memory card i need and also what firmware i need to put on the card, ive been told i need at least a 4gb sdhc card to go into the r4i, is this correct and also will woods firmware work on this or is there summat else i need to put on it instead? Thanks in advance, hope somebody can help.....cheers, Nags.....

it all depends on which card you have......

what card is it? there are countless r4i clones...

post as much detail as possible about your card/console and more chance of help......

post a pic of card if possible

Thanks for the reply. The dsi is light blue, model number TWL-001(EUR). The r4i card is a revolution for ds/dsi/dsl, it comes in all white packaging and is a black card with silver writing on the front sticker, i'll post a pic if i can work out how to do it . Thanks again matey.....

no by the looks of it its a clone of the acekard....

any size sd card will work with it.

finding the correct firmware will be the problem.

where did u buy it, you got a link?

aye its a clone of the acekard right enough

problem is i don't think acekard firmware works on it...

download this firmware:
AKAIO_1.8.6a.R4U.zip


extract the files and these items to root of sd card:

1. _aio folder
2. DS_MENU.DAT
3. _MENU.NDS

also which console are you using you may need to update card.

ps.

you paid 10quid for a fake acekard , when you got have got a real one for 18quid......

also that card should work with any size sd card.....

Haha i didnt even pay that for it cos i got 2 voucher codes taking the total price down to about 4.50 thats the only reason i got it, in future i will seek advice first . Thanks for the reply again, helpful as usual, i will let u know if it works, i'll give it a go later. Nice 1 pal....

Done what u said to do.....all im getting is a message saying akmenu4.nds not found???? Do u have any idea how to sort it pal??

Just found ive extracted a file named akmenu4.nds haha....how thick am i!!!!!!!!!
