    Nintendo dsi 1.4.4e firmware

if this helps anyone then great.

i had the same problem, updated without thinking the crafty sods would put a block in, and went through all the checks that everyone else seems to be doing.

anyway i went to the market and saw my indian friend and bought an R4i 3DS (R4i-SDHC) . it's in a reddish box and says wifi in the left hand top corner.

Go to that website and download the new kernel (www.R4I-SDHC.com) unzip it and copy to the micro sd card but don't forget to copy the ds.dat as well.

Then you will be up and running .
contact me if you need any help.
    good luck

      firmware

Nope, updating the kernel software didn't work.
I need a new firmware, not software.

Updating the firmware is by using a file like fw144.nds.
copy it to the card and update it with an older NDS just using the update function in the kernel software.

I'm just looking for the right *.nds file.....

I wonder if someone could help me out. Am I stuck because I have a DSI at 1.4.3u??? I bought a d4i revolution card and have tried different firmwares and always get the "an error has occurred please hold down power button....."

I also bought a D4I 3ds card but it turned out to be a fake card. It would try to load the card and give me the "this card is fake return to retailer" message.

Is it because my DSI is 1.4.3u that I cannot get either of these cards to work? Do I have to update the D4I in a ds lite which I don't have??

        Any help would be appreciated!

            Hi All,

            Think I've got this sussed.

I have two 1.4.1 cards, and someone updated the DSi to 1.4.4

I have had to follow a staged upgrade path to get it to work:

I used kernel version 1.42 from here:
            http://filetrip.net/f25763-R4i-SDHC-V1-4-2-kernel-(English)-1-42b.html

            to update to 1.43

Then, I used Kernel version 1.56b from: http://down.r4town.com/R4i_V1.56b.zip

            to update to 1.4.4

NOTE: you will probably have to change the date to get these kernels to work (I just set it back by one year)

            I hope that this helps!

            M.
