Help!! My son's R4i card has stopped working

Hi, my son has a DSi and a R4i card (SDHC?). It has suddenly stopped working and I have no idea why. I don't think he's upgraded anything (I don't think he'd know how, and I certainly don't!!). I've deleted all the games off it and put them back on again but when I insert the R4i card, the DS just says 'menu?' like it can't see anything on the card.

need to know exactly which card it is.

can u post as much detail about whats printed on the card/packaging including any web address.

also which version firmware is your dsi on?

to check this:
power up console without a game in,
press settings (spanner icon).

your firmware version will be display on rhs on one of the screens.

Here's some more info...

DSi says ver 1.2E under the settings menu

R4i card says:
WiFi
R4i v1.4
Upgrade
Revolution for DS
(NDSi LL(XL)/NDSi/NDSL/NDS)
R4i SDHC Revolution for NDSi/NDSL/NDS

It has worked for ages, just suddenly stopped.

best idea is to start again from scratch...

1. copy everything from your sd card onto your computer and then format the sd card.
it is recommended to use a proper formatting tool. Digital Kaos - Downloads - sd formatting tool

2. download latest firmware for the card from here.

3. extract the file then open folder and copy the various files and folders to root of sd card.

4. add a couple of games and see if it works...

Mine did the same so I formatted the card and copied all the files back on and the games and it worked.

remove card, reset year to 2006 ,put card back in and see if it works!

My sons r4i card has suddenly stopped working just about to do do the above steps, copy files to pc and format sd card and crossing my fingers it worked as I see its worked for someone else.

Help please, ds not recognising R4i card anymore?

Ok so my sons R4i card stopped working for no reason a couple of weeks ago, just says "there is no card inserted in the DS Game slot"
Ive followed the steps above.... copied all files from sd card to comp, formatted sd card with formatting tool suggested, downloaded latest firmware which I copied to sd card with a few games and still saying "there is no card inserted in the DS Game slot"
It will play a normal game though?

R4i card possibly gone faulty?? I dont really want to order another one if its not gonna work but dont think I have a choice?

Any suggestions please?
