r4 card help please

Hi all, have an R4 DS card with 1.23 loaded, when i try to run a new game, i get the white screen,
tried woods 1.40 but it dosent work, restored the original and its fine,
tried another card with 1.18 and the new ver (1.40) works but its missing the menu text!

can anyone help!!!

You'd better buy a reliable card, like acekard 2i
