Hi all...I've just got a 3ds for my daughter,her acecard 2i returns a error message, can anyone help with what firmware I need to put on it to play ds games,and any dos and donts regarding system updates etc??? Thanks

Do not do any system updates

akaio 1.89 is the latest firmware

hi my son has a dsi with r4i card in, if he gets a 3DS and a acecard as desribed here, can i transfer games from r4i onto acecard and will they work on 3DS?, also will any 3D games become available to download to card at any time do you reckon?

acekard soes not work with the very latest 3ds firmware, (nor does many cards).

yes you can use the same games.

no, you cant play 3ds games with any flashcard yet.

Just wiped my acecard of all games,files etc.. Now what do I need to place on the memory card from the above firmware?

The folder "__Aio" and the file "akmenu4.nds" go on the root of the card, if you want you can create a folder called "Games" and put your ROMs in there to keep your ROMs and Game saves seperately

1.if i buy A 3DS from game now id it likely to have the firmware on that the cards won't work on?
2. is this the right card i should be looking to buy for use with 3DS

difficult to say,
this update was released 4-6 weeks ago. if console was manufactured before that then will be on earlier firmware. if manufactured later than that then yes it will be on it... (not a helpfull answer i know )

acekard2i is my card of choice , i'd expect a fix for firmware 2.2 soon...

yes, AKAIO 1.8.9 is latest fimrware for acekard2i.
