r4i card and brand new dsi, please help

hey everyone have bought my son a dsi for xmas and just received my r4i card, followed instructions and when put into the dsi the screen goes white with a ?menu in red. i then have to switch it off as it is frozen.

dsi is brand new using 1.4.2e
card is r4i with box saying v1.4.3
says WWW.R4I_SDHC.COM along the bottom

you may have the wrong firmware install or not in the root of the card.i had this before for the ds lite and copy the right firmware then it work

download from this site R4i SDHC Revolution for NDSi/NDSL/NDS see if that helps ,try a 2gig memory card instead of larger type ,
