Another R4i cart and 3DS problem

Hi guys, I'm getting the following error on my 3DS:-

    An error has occurred.
Press and hold the POWER Button
    to turn the system off.
Please refer to the Operations Manual for details.

So, my 3DS is running firmware version 3.0.0-6E (I purchased it in December 2011) and the R4i card I'm using is an R4i SDHC Revolution for DS (N3DS/NDSI/NDSL/NDS) it has a gold sticker on the front. The website quoted on the box is r4-pro and I've been in touch a fair bit with them over the last few weeks trying to chase the correct firmware for my cart - my pigeon is about as good as their English so I'm getting nowhere fast!

My micro SD card is 4GB - I've recently formatted it using the SDFormatter software (V2.9.0.5) from this forum. I've extracted WOOD_R4dsi1.30_PRO to the SD card using winrar and initially I'm trying to use an old DS game Monopoly/Boggle/Yahtzee/Battleship just to prove the setup is correct. I've copied the game .NDS file into the root directory of the cart.

When I insert the cart into the 3DS and switch it on, I see the Spongebob game icon - click 'Open' then I get the error.

Any help you could offer me would be very useful, I've had a good read around and I reckon that I'm probably using the wrong firmware on my R4 card - the question is - do you guys know what version I should be using?

    Thanks for your help!

maybe the card is not compatable with latest 3ds firmware.

website is unclear which versions 3ds it will run on.

easiest thign to do is try to get it working on an older dsi or dslite, to check whether it is compatable with yourr new 3ds..

Unfortunately I don't have any other DS machines - I only have the 3DS.

Are there any other things I could try?

I have had confirmation from the guys behind the website assuring me that the card is compatible with the 3DS.

Does anyone have any ideas please?

Is there a card/firmware combination out there that is compatible with the 3DS running version 3.0.0-6E ?

It may be quicker/easier/cheaper for me to buy a combination that is already proven to be working with my hardware!

            Thanks!

Got some bad news for you all.
Managed to finally get this response from r4-pro after nearly 6 weeks of daily emails.

'Thank you for your letter.we are glad to help you.
I am really sorry i forgot a "not" in the last email. The card and the machine are not compatible. You need to get a v1.42 3DS.'

Totally bogus company, don't trade with them at all.
I can apparently pay for the card to be shipped back at my expense and they will then refund my original outlay.
