        i would too...

        extract this file and put on sd card.
        ak2ifw_update_3ds30_DSi143_onDSL.rar

        put it in the dslite and start up the card.

        you should see the updatefile as if it were a game.

        start it and follow the onscreen instructions.

        MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CHARGER PLUGGED IN WHEN DOiNG THIS.

            right mate, when i go to update it,its says eject card then insert again and then press b, which iv done but when i select b nothing happens,

                well thats bad news...

                that means you can't update the card so it will only work in your dslite...

                what firmware was it that gave you the clone/fake card message?

                try this firmware, see if it boots

                    no worries bud, mate can u recommend were i can order a orignal card to work on my kids dsi? and quick delievery? also mate thanks for ur help here, very gratefull for it

                            forgot to mention mate that I didn't need to put the clone firmware on,the first firmware u told me to put on worked a treat on both the ddi and salute,up til now all games that iv tried have worked for my kid,well games like Mario kart and super Mario world etc,she's very happy up to now anyway,prob until she tries to play a latest game,il get an orignal ordered and keep the clone for the ds lite for my son ,thank u very much again mate,uv put a smile on my daughter's face for now t

                                those game will play no bother,

                                the second firmwaer is more up to date so more games should work..
                                but if she's happy i'd leave it..
