newbie needs help with a 3ds and r4

Wonder if u can help me please sorry to bump this thread got the same r4 card and it won't play on a version 1.1.0 3ds what's the best thing to do please don't want to upgrade 3ds and mess things up ty ;-) just got latest firmware of site and card works on dsi no problem

DO NOT update your 3ds, this will only make matters worse.

if the cards plays on the dsi the just download the update file from here

then extract it to your sd card (with your firmware on)

put card in dsi and do the update.
(instruction on how to do update are in a "readme" file in update package)

all going well it should now work in 3ds.

remember to delete the update files when finished.

Loads have had these problems because of playing new 3ds games and it asks for update which they do to play game then the r4 etc won't work... Point for everyone never update firmware on anything unless you know what it will do.

help needed again

hello again

i am still having problems with my 3ds hoping someone out there can help me i still using the 3ds with the purple r4itt card. i managed to locate an old ds and update the card like i was advised before. n ow when i place card in i get the star wars lethal alliance game up where as before nothing came up however when i press a to open it the screens go black and a message comes up saying " an error has occured press and hold power button to turn the system off. Please refer to to the operations manual for details."

does anybody know a work around please

yes, that is the latest firmware offered by ninty.

firmware 4.0.0-7 blocked flashcards, so that is proberly what is wrong.

you may be able to update your card using an older 3ds,dsi or dslite.

more detail about your card is needed.

1. exact name of card
2. web address of card
3. what exaclty is printed on card/packaging.
(post a picture if possible)
the more info given, the better chance of help..

i only updated the system today and i updated the r4card today using an older ds lite using link u gave me before i have attached file showing my files on sd card hope this helps
before i updated the card 3ds didnt recognise r4 card now it does just doesnt open like it should

you see your card is a 1.4 card.
firmware has been updated several times.
i doubt yoyu will get that card to play on your 3ds.

only usefull for dslite or or older dsi/3ds conmsoles now...

generally speaking.
r4i 1.4 cards are not updatable.

the picture you posted was of a 1.4 card, so i would say no...

card still good fr an older machine,
but i think you need to buy a newer card...
