Which is the best R4 card for 1.4.4E/ Also to play movies

Hi,can anyone tell me which is the best R4 card for ndsi on 1.4.4E firmware..also to play movies on dsi aswell...

well, yes and no...

an up to date acekard works perfectly on dsi firmware 1.4.4, but if you buy a card now, it may not be fully up to date.
now this isnt really a problem, the cards are updatable, takes 2 minutes to flash the card...

this would be your only problem...
you cannot update the card using a 1.4.4 console (as the card is already blocked on it), you would need to beg, steal or borrow an older console running older firmware to perform update...

after that, you would be good to go..

as for playing media,
you can play mp3 music files and also video files in .dpg format using a homebrew app called moonshell.

dpg video's are hard to find but converters are readily available in the usual places..

How do you go about upgrading an r4 card on a older console? My dsi has updated to 1.4.4 and my firmware is 1.57b but it still doesn't like it, help!
