Ds R4i problems

I recently bought a r4i gold plus card that already came with like 95 games. although most of them seem to work, some do not. and Ive noticed I have to hold down the A button just to start some games. Does anyone know the reason for this? also I can run pokemon black and whit but it wont let me run gold silver diamond pearl and platinum for some reason. but all my other games seem to work just fine.
