New super mario bros won't load on ds lite

Hi i've downloaded (New super mario bros) onto my sons ds lite. Using an R4i it won't load up fully. It gets to about 955 then stops. Remember having this problem with games ages ago but can't remember how i sorted it. All other games are fine any advice please he'll be home from school soon and i want to watch the match cheers.

Hi again, i tried latest firmware and other roms but the same. Demo version works fine but can't find a working version of New Super mario bros for ds lite anyone have a working version or point me in the right direction thanks again.
