r4 card help

does anyone know if r4carduk.com are reliable and which card would be best for a ds lite

if its just a cheap card you are after, then you can get an r4 card for a couple of quid delivered.
it will play almost all games using woods firmware.
only drawback is that it doesn't support sdhc sd cards, so a non sdhc 2gig card would be the biggest you could use.

if you want to spend a bit more then maybe go for an acekard, should get one for around 10/15quid.
a fully updated acekard will work on all current models dslite/dsi and 3ds. (only plays ds/dsi games on 3ds). beware of clones though...

i would either opt for the r4 card or acekard2i

hi, i bought one these for my son's dsl and it arrived today working fine with 5 games on there and the latest firmware.(apparently)
my problem is that when i put the sd card into the card reader and then my laptop it wont open it just says it needs to be formatted. i didn't want to format it and lose whats on there. is there something else i need to do?
on screen is akAIO release 1.8.9

For the sake of five games I'd format it with a decent tool. It's for the greater good.

i would just format it too.

though it maybe a faulty card reader or adapter.

if you have a phone, satnav or camera that takes microsd, then you could try putting the sd card in that and connecting to pc via usb.


see if you can open card that way...

cheers guys, turned out it was the card reader in the end. got a new one for 99p and it all works fine

i think you should formate your sd card. To save games or files, you can copy it to another sd card.
