    Dsi

I am about to get a card for my sons dsi. It has been a few yrs since my last card so what 1 is the best r4i or the acekard ?

Is there any difference between them or is it just choice ?

they have varying levels of support.
cards need to be constantly updated to overcome anti-piracy measures in latest games,
also dsi's and 3ds firmware gets updated regularly , this normally blocks flashcards, so you want an updateable card.

problem with r4i cards is that there is not one r4i card,
there are loads of cards calling themselves names like r4i gold, r4i 3ds, r4i this, r4i that... you get the picture.

these cards are manufactured by diffrent companies, therefore you have to make sure you have the right firmware for your card.

mist cards have web addy's on now so finding correct firmware shouldn't be a painfull as it used to be.. unless the card is a clone..

you have to be wary of fake acekards as well,
          they don't update.....

Just read the acekard does 3ds or do u mean the lastest firmware ? I think it looks easier for the acekard. Will look for 1 or do u know a good place to get 1 ?

a fully updated acekard will currently work on all models dslite, dsi and 3ds except 3ds v4.3.0-10.

there should be an update along sometime to fix this, but i have noticed there updates are taking longer and longer to be released...

i havn't bought any cards in while and the sites i used no longer exist... so i can't recommend anywhere...

Taking longer to release. Does that mean its getting harder or they are losing interest ?

i think its more a loss of interest tbh,

other cards still release patches quickly....

no idea why the acekard takes soo long....

I still have a dstt card it's original. Is there anyway to get this work ? I haven't used it in a couple of yrs after I upgraded the firmware on the ds and was no upgrade for the card. I know there wasn't a lot of support at the time. I have looked around and they are still selling them and seen unofficial support but don't know if it's worth trying ?

dstt can only be used on a dslite,
there is good unofficial support for them now..
