Sorry another one with R4 card probs, DSi upgrade

Hello, new to the forum so thank you in advance to anyone who has a spare minute to help!

The R4 card in my daughter's DSi stopped working so husband updated it, all working fine then he decided to connect to the WiFi which we haven't done before and it updated the DSi to run v 1.4.4E which in turn means that the R4 card now doesn't work Getting the error message:

An error has occured. Press and hold the POWER button to turn the system off. Please refer to the Nintendo DSi Operations manual for details.
I have tried to find the answer on here before posting but most threads seem to be from some time ago so i'm hoping there's something that can be done now rather than having to buy a new card. (crossing fingers but am doubtful!!).

The card we have is the R4i V1.4.1.

All info on the card (don't know what you need to know, sorry) is
WiFi R4i Upgrade Revolution for DS.
    (NDSi, LL(XL)/NDSi/NDSL/NDS)

    Website is r41-sdhc.com

So break it to me gently, is it totally screwed and i just need to buy a new one? Are there any cards that run on this DSi update?

    Thanks again.

no m8 all updates now from nintendo stop r4 cards working and other cards

put the latest kernel on from the website and then put the r4 into an older ds that hasnt had the firmware updated, then go to config and update

it will then run fine in ya updated ds

if they haven't released a new kernel the easy fix is to set the calendar date of your DSi back a month or so. I used to keep my calendar a year wrong back when I had a clone card as they were horrid at updating firmware.

Will remember that for next time, pre-update!

I'm pretty sure my husband updated it with the most recent firmware but will try again.

I think my MIL has a DSi so will ask her to bring it when they next come down to plug our card into hers and do the config thing, hopefully we'll get it working again!
