R4 revolution for DS, need some help getting it running please

I just bought an R4 revolution for the ds,

I have downloaded the latest software file, which included,
_system_
moonshl
_ds_menu.dat
_ds_mshl

I have put these in the root directory of the ds card, but nothing happens. the ds just loads up to the usual screen with 'no game pak inserted' message

Could someone please tell me where im going wrong.

what software have you put on it m8 1.18?

yep, 1.18, it just loads up to the normal screen.

Also tried 1.17.

Any idea's?

It will be a clone so use the latest firmware thats in the download section, should be around 1.24/1.25

You could try to take it out and put it back in again.
Also try to blow on it, it may have got dusty.

i think the R4 you got is the oldest one.
what size memory card do you use?
the oldest and original R4 max support 2GB card.
you can not 4GB or larger memory card for R4.

I am also having problems with R4 Revolution.
Just a few games worked, so i tryed to opgrade firmware, then all stopped working.
Now have a new sd card, need latest firmware
