    Which ds to buy?

    Planning on getting my little one a ds for Xmas, which ds should I get for a 3yr old.
    And what card do I need to get?

    Depends how much money u want to spend and what's games u want them to play ?

      She's only 3, may be games like mario cart etc, I'll also have a play as well.

        1. i would steer clear of dslites if the little un is only three.
        dslite hinges break very easily and toddlers can be rough on these devices..

        2. i wouldn't bother with the 3ds for a kid that age, tbh i am not greatly impressed with the 3ds effect at all.
        not worth the extra money for me...

        3. i would only buy an XL console ,
        the extra screen size makes a difference, especially if your going to be putting movies on it.

        so i would probably go for a dsiXL refurb with either an acekard or or the new r4i 3ds card.
        that way you won't be down a tonne of money if the kid breaks it..

        i have seen dsixl refurbs going for around the ?70 mark on fleabay.

          Take it from someone who had 4 kids and gone through 4 ds lites.

          Dont get one of these. They have all broken down at some point with either the hinges going or one of the screens dying.

          In the end I will get them either a DSi or just get them a second hand PSP.

            yes go for a old psp and use custom firmware and run games off a memory card

              hi you can get a dsi to work from a card with firmware and download the games to it just the same as a psp as you put it thanks
