    R4 question..help!

Hello, I am not too savvy with the topic so any help will be appreciated.

I bought my son a DS that came with a R4 card with an SD card included with games on it. It works fine in the DS. I bought a CD with a lot of games on it to be put on the sd card. I bought a new sd card (exactly like the other one that does work) and was successful putting the games on it The computer shows the games are on it but the DS won't play it. It just shows a red Menu sign at the top of the DS screen.

Is there something that needs to be done to the card for it to work?

And talk to me like I'm an idiot because when it comes to this..I am

    Thanks!

I can't find the pic on the web. The gamecard is gray with black sticker. "wifi" is in blue and silver. The rest of the writing is in silver...it says R4 upgrade Revolution for Ds (NDSL/NDS)

Thank you...I will try to find a link with the picture.

Found a card that's close. The one I have looks like the one in the link except it has "WiFi" above R4 and has "upgrade" under the R4

any web address on the card?

        try this.

1: format your sd card using panasonic formatting tool
Digital Kaos - Downloads - sd formatting tool

        2: download firmware from here.

3: extract then copy the various files and folders to root of sd card.

failing that, look for a web address on the card..

it just means putting pn the sd card without putting it in a folder..

when u unzip the file you will probably be left with a folder which has all the files and folders inside it.

you open the folder then copy the contents to the sd card (root file)
