Hi all, well my daughter has a dsi system 1.2e and acekard2i and untill now she never played games with friends with the wireless function on. Now she asked if she can play with some of her friends with that option on and I am not sure is a good idea or not? for example is it safe for her to play with consoles on higher system version? For example if she plays against a console on 1.45e, is it likely that the higher system version console transfers the software update to my daughter's one and consequently stop the acekard2i to work? i would say aslong as the ds is not connected to the internet where the updates come from, then it should it would be ok for a couple off ds s to connect to each other, i have had 3 ds s for the kids with r4 cards in and they connected no probs alll different system settings even the download play where one ds has the card in and the other 2 no card in and they can all play the same game

update the acekard first and then it will be safe to go online, a fully updated acekard will work on all dsi models.

i fear the console will attempt to update as soon as you go online.

thanks for your help, so if I understood right it should be ok to play wireless games between consoles (even with different system versions)? Usually my daughter will not go online so I should be ok because as you said the system upgrades come only via internet download, and play wireless local in the same room but not online should be ok, am I right? Sorry to be a bit thick, but better be safe than sorry......

yep, but AKAIO 1.9 is available now, more games will work on it..
