r4 card no longer plays games through 3ds after concole had a system update

hi,my kids both have 3ds's which have been running fine with ver 3.0.0-5E on the console and the compatible card with suitable firmware installed on them.today my son stupidly updated his ds on the system update option after i told him not to.consequently the ver is now 4.5.0-10e and will not play the games on his card,but as my daughters is still on the 3.0.0-5E it will play in hers.i have tried putting the console back to default settings,formatting the sd card and putting updated kernel and wood firmware back on the card but to no avail.the card he has is a r4i revolution for a 3ds which came in a gold coloured box.please can anyone help if you have experienced the same problem or point me in the direction of hopefully getting this card back up and running.

there are only two cards that will work on your console now.

1: supercard dswtwo
2: one of the r4i 3ds cards(.cn web addy)

you cannot roll back the 3ds firmware, there is no fix as yet
