Need help with DSI 1.4.3u and R4i 3DS please?

The dsi is version 1.4.3u

I recently bought a yellow card R4I with 3DS (in green) under it. It has the website www.R4I-GOLD.com on the bottom.

I have downloaded many files and none have worked. I tried earlier versions 1.41 and 1.42 and they give me the "please update hardware for firmware...." error when loading. If I try version above 1.43 I get the "card is a fake return to retailer" error. I didn't realize this card was fake when I bought it. Will it still work??

Do I need to apply an update to the card using a ds or ds lite due to my dsi being 1.4.3u?? Or is there a file I could put on the SD that will work now (since I don't have an older DS).

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!

Download this File Here. Open. Extract the folder called English and open it on PC, then copy the contents of that folder to the root of your SD card. Then add a working game.

Before that, Format the SD card in FAT32 through windows. Do a full-complete format.

(Copy-Paste any games you want to keep onto PC)

Formatted the SD card.. extracted the files onto the SD.. c&p a game rom onto the SD root directory. Inserted the card and turned on the DSI. Loaded the card and got the screen saying LOADING..... with "Fake Card! Please return to retailer" overtop.

So fake cards do not work??? Of course I likely can't return this it was bought off ebay. Is there no firmware for fake cards??
