DSi if you want to keep up with the times and play "bought games"

DS Lite, if you mostly play back up games.

You can play backup DS games on the DSi with a flash cart but nintendo will most probably cripple these on the DSi as these will have firware updates as the Wii does.

dsi for me havent found a game new or old that doesn't boot on it using a r4i but no gba slot on it so got a draw full of old game carts
