hi all any bright sparks out there know how to tell which kernel to use as all i get i couldnt find data menu and im not paying some 1 to do it when its for free in anyway

check the site you bought it off they should have a download link to the correct kernel to use ,
if you dont know the site you used its going to be trial and error because they have stopped doing kernel updates for the r4 because all you can buy now is clones
hope this helps might be easier for people to help if you know how old the r4 is and where you got it from

if for norm r4 card 1.18 works for the 2gig 1s and the hcr4 cards r on version 1.21 works fine
