    dsi error

    my sons dsi console is giving this message on a black screen (an error has occured ,press and hold power button to turn system off,please refer to the dsi operations manual for details)
    he has a r4i sdhc card in it.

              sounds like either..:

              1. The DSi has been online and updated. The update has blocked the use of your R4i

              or

              2. The R4i card needs the firmware updating.. to do this you need to download the latest firmware for your R4i

                The problem isn't just the R4i it's also that none of his original games work anymore or we can't get into settings, it just shows the same error.
