ds games load error caused by transfer corruption?

    hi i have:

r4 revolution card which says on it:
    r4 upgrade
    games engine
    revolution for ds (ndsl/nds)
    Untitled Document
    firmware ver.1.22b
    sandisk 16gb micro sdhc card
    ds lite

i have gone through the 2 tutorials which are awesome (thanks andy)and have got it working fine.
my problem is that after transferring some games to the sdhc card, which all run fine, the card seems to become corrupted and every game i subsequently transfer will not load. instead of a game picture to the left of the game title in the browser i get r4 written in yellow, underlined with red on a blue background.

i know the games do work as i have formatted and started again a few times and got them to work.
i've followed the instructions properly i.e. transfering one game at a time and safely removing.
once the card seems corrupted i noticed once that some of the file names change to what look like chinese/japanese characters and i am then unable to delete them. the only solution i have is to format again.

is there a better solution to this other than re-formatting or is my sdhc card faulty?
    help please!

thanks for the suggestion but i've tried another reader and it hasn't worked, unless i need a better one.
i bought the 16gb micro sdhc card separately from the r4 card and the usb card reader (both of which i got from games engine) do i need a card reader that can specifically use 16gb micro sdhc?
thinking about it, it does seem to go wrong when i get to about 2gb on the card.

Goto the ds settings, change the date back or forward by a day and try again

as barrowmanandrew says try it with a smaller card and see what happens

i have a working 2gb card (which the mrs now has) i bought a 16gb so i could get everything i have on there and the games that worked before the problem still work which are about 2gb worth so theres not much point in getting another 2gb card. i really want to be able to use the whole 16gb otherwise its a bit pointless.

thanks for all the replies guys

yes, but some r4 cards do not like sdhc cards, i have an m3 card which is basically the same as r4 card, and it doesnt work at all with micro sdhc's. you may need to change to a newer type of card i.e. r4i or r4 gold card.

i recently bought this card specifically for use with a sdhc card, because it was advertised: "you can use a microSDHC card (up to 32GB)" i really don't want to have to buy another card, i was just hoping there might be a solution without having to spend any more money.

best of luck m8. might just be a faulty micro sdhc card,
could you not borrow one from a friend just to test?
