R4i just comes up menu

Hi all, suddenly after working fine for months my son's r4i just comes uo with menu and a question mark above in a red card shaped box. Some thing like this happened a long time ago and not sure if i had to get latest firmware for it, any help please. Also noticed never got Toy Story 3 to work before.

Hi again just looked at card and all firmware was gone except for a 3 nds games and a file saying ^?ds mar.io5 which i'm unable to delete because it cannot read from the source file or disk. Put firmware back on and now just says loading. Please any help it must be this corrupt file that i don't know how to delete Donka.

HI all again just done a reformat but still the same.

what you need to do is reformat your sd card then put correct firmware on it...

Hi thanks for your reply. I formatted it then put on firmware i had backed up on my pc. This firmware is stil ok on my other son's ds. I'll keep a look out for latest firmware. Just can't understand why all the firmware and nearly all the games on it just disapeared in the first place. Now when i start it up it says loading but top screen is not fully showing. Thanks again i'll keep fidling with it Donka.

what has prbebly happened is.
either you have switched your ds when it is writing to sd card or sd card is faulty..
just think of sd card as a harddrive...

Put new latest firmware on and the games seem ok except toy story 3 where A button won't work.

toy story has anti piracy software on it..
you will be lucky to get a working rom for your card m8...
for newer games best to order an acecard 2i
it will work on ds/dsi...
cost less than a tenner delivereed

Cheers but can't get that link to work. Does this come with it's own micro card or do i just use my own one i have in r4i thanks again.

yes m8 they're are only two versions of firmware.
official firmware and akiou firmware...
everyone i know uses the akiou firmware...
