red menu box.

i have re-formed the r4 micro card and re-installed the software to the card. but when i turn it back on i keep on getting the red ? menu box appear.

is there a fix or do i need a new card?

what card do you have (what exactly does it say on front of card)
post a screenshot if possible.
what firmware are you using?

it a black R4 upgrade Revolution for ds.

the software i have downloaded are:-

_system_
moonshl
_DS_MENU (DAT file)
_DS_MENU (configuration settings)
_DS_MSHL.NDS.

this software just shows the red menu? box

also i have tried:-

moonmemo
moonshl2
R4iMenu
R4

this firmware loads but keeps saying system data error! please check NDS system date. at the bottom of the screen.

Try set your date back a month or 2.

m8, that is a well known issue with those cards.
just put yer date back a year or so and it will work....

hi guys i have the same problem i have a r4 sdhc with a wifi logo on the card it worked for 2 days then iwhen i loaded the card it said fake card send back to supplier
i formatted the card and loaded a kernnel on to it now all that happens is a red card comes up with menu.?????
any links to the correct kernel would be much appreciated very new to all this.i have also put the date back a couple of years.

this is the problem with r4/r4i cards...
so many diffrent cards and clones on the market...

all r4 firmware can be found here

you have to match the correct firmware for your card m8...

Hi, can anyone help me please? I have the r4i upgrade revolution card I've downloaded the kernel from R4i SDHC Revolution for NDSi/NDSL/NDS and i get the red menu box. I've tried resetting the date but that hasn't worked. Any ideas?
