Read the entire thread, followed the instructions on the first page, still have the loading screen of forever. So I'm posting to ask what I'm doing wrong.

The card sticker says:
R4
Upgrade
Revolution for DS
(NDSL/NDS)

It's shiny, it's silver and black, and it's on upside down.
I was told it only works with a 2gb mini and that's what I have.

The Contents of the card:
The original firmware I'm using that works for all the older games I've tried (probably 3 or so years ago, maybe less) says it's v3.02 and when I got the software it was on either a cd or a flashdrive that came in the box.
The screen says: R4 III Revolution for DS

That's all the details I can think to tell you. Do you know which R4 I have, is this a clone or an original and do you know the best software/firmware (are those terms interchangeable?) to use so I can play the newer games (i.e. Golden Sun!!)

hi hyriel, woods software wont work with that card. its one of the many clones around.
unfortuntatly that card is no longer supprted and firmware hasn't been updated since 2009.

you could try this.

R4-SDHC--R4i-SDHC TTMenu.rar

i found it by accident while looking for summit else.
its supposed to work on r4 clones.
its a bit of a long shot and i havent tried it myself ( i dont have an r4 clone any more), but its worth a shot.
instructioons are the same to use.
extract files and copy both to root of sd card....

Just try the different versions pal, if it's wrong it just won't work, it won't damage anything
