I have just bought ab acekard 2i as i stupidly updated my daughters dsi which stopped her r4 card working.

Can someone pls tell me what i need to download onto sd card for it to work?

thankfully acekards are easy,

donwload the latest akaio firmware.

Digital Kaos - Downloads - akaio 1.8.7

extract files, then copy _aio folder and akmenu file to root of sd card...

thats it, just add games..

Wood R4 firmware is good. Now, r4i gold card (r4ids.cn), r4idsn 3ds card (r4idsn.com) and r4 ds card (r4ds.me) all use wood r4 kernel. It is great.

it might,
depends wether its a clone or not.

wont do any harm to check.
also make sure you use a small sd card (2 gig tops)
original r4's dont support sdhc cards
