R4 card

Hey ppl, I gave my friend an r4 card, she's getting an old DS/DS lite off a m8 of hers. Don't know if it is clone card. Do I just get the latest f/w off the r4 site or do I need to know the system version of the ds/ds lite, apparently it's the old chunky version of the ds/ds lite, if that make's any sense to anyone ?.

Don't know m8, but the bloke I gotit from is a gangster so, probably a clone . Very quick by the way

Don't have it with me, will post back to ya l8r m8. Could I damage it if I put the wrong f/w on it. Cause I see lot's of f/w on here, the latest for r4 and the woods for clones ?.

no m8, you wont damage it...
just remember if it is an original, you cant use a sd card bigger than 2 gig.
they dont support sdhc cards
