problem playing new .nds games

anybody know why the latest games wont play on my r4 card. I download the games to my card but then the screen just freezes?

1. which card have you got, (please be as specific as possible)

2. what firmware are you using.

3, what games don't work.

Hi there, I have the same problem. I bought a load of nds games from someone on a cd but when i loaded them onto my R4 chip with v1.18 firmware they launch to sav file stage but then freezes. I see there is another R4 firmware. Would that help or do I need a newer style chip ? Kind Regards everyone

if you are using 1.18 fimrware, then it suggests your card is suitable for woods firmware.

1. backup sd card. (incase it goes wrong)

2. format sd card. (either use windows or formatting tool)

3. download latest woods firmware.

4. extract files then copy _rpg folder and dsmenu file to ROOT of sd card.

6. add a few games and test.

ps,. why did ya pay someone for roms?

roms are easy to find, even the very latest ones.....

R4 firmware

Hi there .. Thankyou very much for the quick response. I will download the file and try it out tomorrow. I don't know where to download the nds roms as I'm a bit of a noob if that's the right expression .. I happened to go to a computer fare and picked up a few discs for ?10 which I felt was very good. It would be nice to choose the actual games that we want instead of pot luck kind regards
