A neighbour called to me with R4i-advance card for dsi, didnt ask where he got it but its not working, looks like to me his kid deleted the running files as it must have been working at some stage as there is plenty of .sav file created!
He said it never worked!

Anyone know off hand what to flash it with?
The dsi s/w version is ver 1.4.1E.
Dont know if its even compatible with this version and maybe someone sold him a old unusable card!!

seems like he/whoever as updated the firmware on the dsi which in turn blocks some cards,you would need a new cartridge that supports 1.4.1e firmware...........no1 rule dont update fw on any device...

think this is the fw http://www.r4i-advance.com/en/down.asp but may be no good to you because the dsi as new software/firmware

phoned him just now, said it was working before, he has another one exact same, Ill try and copy running files from that one and see what happens, will check out the s/w ver on other dsi that its running on and see what the score is!

Found the kernal for it, loaded it and its working in dsi ver 1.4E, still not running in 1.4.1E, will have a look round to see if any updates exist for it - that will teach him to buy from a market stall again with out checking up on stuff!!
I can sort him out with an acekard 2i so its not the end of the world!

just tried Acekard2i running Akaoi 1.8.1 on dsi on the 1.4.1E version, Saying that an error has occured! Thought this was compatable with latest s/w ver! Its working on my sons dsi ver 1.4E!

Any ideas?

Forgot to add, it sees the danny phantom icon for the game, then the dreaded message when i select it!!

could be one of two things, either the acecard is a clone or needs updated.

to update:

download update file.
ak2_update_141_DSi.rar

extract the file and put on sd card exactly the same as a rom.

put your acecard with the sd card in the dsi 1.4 that you have.

start the update file exactly the same as if you are starting a game and follow the onscreen instructions...

make sure your dsi in plugged into charger, if the dsi cuts out during update, it will brick the card.....

delete the update from the sd card when finished

that means the card has the 1.4 update, when you do the 1.4.1 update, you will get "alex rider stormbreaker" icon..

Updated and Got a new icon 'alex rider stormbreaker' and games working perfect on 1.4.1E.
