    Worth the hassle? (r4i card)

I'm thinking of getting a DSI XL soon, I'm thinking the prices should drop when the 3D model is launched next month.

Thing is guys, is it worth the hassle trying to mess on with a r4i card or similar?, I would only probably play/buy a dozen games, the Prof Layton collection, Rooms, Sherlock Holmes, these types of games you know.

Would you recommend learning the r41 thing, or would ebay for games be my best option, all advice welcome, as ive never had a DS before.

    Thanks, Bob.

how much you u planning on spending on games m8?

an acecard2i plus 4 gig sd card with set you back less than ?30 delivered.

    should hold 40 games.

acecards are very easy to set up.

should point out right enough the new prof layton game doesnt seem to working on the latest acecard firmware.

it might be fixed on the next update though....

      Thanks for speedy reply Andy.

Yes, whilst thinking about it, game costs may add up pretty quickly, if I'm paying ?10-?15 per game from online auction sites then costs would spiral.

I'm totaly new to this, aint even got a DSI XL yet, but think I will start looking into this acecart/r4i thing, will start by having a good read through your stickied guide Andy, then it's where to buy and what to buy, anyway, thanks again, I'm for sure gonna look into this now.

        you costs do mount up...

r4i cards can be very tricky to get correct up to date firmware.

these cards are all made by difffrent companies.

an acecard is much easier to use m8...

Thanks Andy, an acecard it will be, I'm still waiting for the DSI XL price to drop, surely the price of these things must plumet once the 3DS is launched?
