DSi R4i and 1.4.1E

Mate has a DSi with a R4i Upgrade card (has 1.4 in a yellow box)

The DSi is 1.4.1E - I have downloaded the latest fw from the R4 web site and when I try to launch the card - I get a error has occurred message

is this due to the DSi being on 1.4.1E firmware

sounds like its a card issuse..gold cards work perfect on that vers..

if the card ay's 1.4 on it, then it probably wont work on 1.4.1 machine.

r4i cards were blocked by the 1.4.1 console update.
the newer one's brought out after the 1.4.1 update, do work on 1.4.1 but usualy say 1.4.1 on them.

got the full story from my mate

the r4i card was working prefectly in his DSi but it broke, so they went back to shop and got a replacment DSi - and the replacement has 1.4.1E on it - so guess wont work

told him to get a Ackerd - as they seem to work with the newer firmware.
