    hi m8,
i tried using the channel installer from there but it comes up an error saying summit along the lines of "anuble to access nand, installer cannnot continue". and reboots.

the channnel forwarder which ck knidly posted seemed to work fine.
it installed the chanenel but only as i said it hangs just before launching.

the Wiiimc app itself runs perfectly from the homebrew channel, so im not sure what could be wrong....

the app comes with a ios 58 installer, but i should already have it as my wii was on 4.3. is that correct?

i might unistall it all, download files again and start again... just incase ive changed summit or something......

its a really cracking app, plays all manner of files.. evan cdr images which i though it wouldn't.....

I would say it's fine, it's only your forwarder that isn't working. Your not certain if you have the ios 58 installed ?

      Hold on for ck m8.

i must have it installed, when i boot it from homebrew channel, it uses ios58 to boot it....

what do you think could be wrong?
        do you use this app?

I'd be looking for another forwarder. I don't have the app, but might give it a whirl tho. ( when you get it going ).

try this forwarder WiiMC - WIMC.wad
if your still having problems try uninstalling the forwarder take wiimc out your apps folder and try following this http://wiibrew.org/wiki/WiiMC

                        yay got it working.....

i used the latest wiimc file from here.

i used this forwarder which is from the same place as ck has posted.

installed using wad manager and all working now...

the channel looks slightly diffrent with the new forwarder and loads diffrent.....

interestingly it said an update was available.
i take it this will be safe as its homebrew?

thanks for the help guys... much appreciated...

just to add, have had a little play around with both of them now,
i think the wiimc one is the better of the two, it seems a bit more user friendly (when installed ) and switching between files is also better.
on the mplayer when stopping a file i keep getting a dsi error which means i have to power the wii off and on again....

Cheers bud, I've got 1.0.8 ver HBC. My hbc is using ios38, but I have ios 58 installed. I have read that if I re-install the hbc it will automatically use ios 58 ?. The reason I ask is that there has been so many issues installing wiimc, I am unsure what to do. All help and advice appreciated.

Ps. it loads from hbc with" ios not supported " assuming this is my 38. But Wiimc still loads. The forwarder doesn't work, I'm getting a ret 1029 wad install error.
