should i update to IOS 249 v21 to play recent games

hi again.. i really would like to try and update to 249rev20 i read it should be what i need to play a particular backup but.. im not sure what base to use .. does it matter? or will the installer download the version i need?

im on the understanding i can put it back to rev17 if im not happy..is this the case? sorry for the barrage of questions.

what game you trying to play ?.

you could use the version that Happyhighlander uploaded, think it's a wad, This is the rev I have and all my games work, including very latest, if your not happy just re-install your rev 17, it will overwrite.

Thanks for the help v20 ok working sweet(so far) the autoboot to wiiflow is now only a few seconds... Rapido!!i didnt expect that..

A question since i updated to v21 my mic on the singing games is not working it asking me to plug in the mic when i do nothing happens..

could my IOS58 have a problem as when i installed it.. it was installed using my old ios249v17 and i believe this is what i needs to run usb(IOS58) .. i have done syschech and it says ios58 is there..

any ideas thanks

I have 222, 224, 249,250 but not 223, ill give that ago! shall i install it using 249?

depends if your installing it from a wad or cios installer
if you install it with the installer then install with a base of 37
then boot your backup with your prefered loader choosing 223

Thanks CK ....My only concern is when i softmodded this my install guide got me to install 222 using 37 merged with 38 if i install 223 using 37 will that screw the 222 or am i misunderstanding the whole base ios thing

no it wont you can configure cios's independently of each other
