wiiflow to load covers from hdd

i want to get my covers etc to load from the HDD as ive heard it cuts the wiiflow 2.2 loading time down.

I have a 500gb with 400 WBFS i tried formating a 30gb partition on hdd to fat32 and copied my wiiflow folder from the sd but it stack dumped.

i take it there is more to it that that?

    any help would be appreciated.

have you got cios38r17 or higher?
have you installed a backup on the fat32 partition using Digital Kaos - Downloads - wii backupmanager 0.3.beta1 copying the over as wbfs files?
have you tried booting wiiflow from hb channel instead of a forwarder or do you have a full channel?
the more info you give us the easier for us to help you.

I have just installed a forwarder in priiloader to autoboot wiiflow which works fine

looking at my ios it looks like 37 is unpatched should i have something on this..?

i have installed my iso's from wbfs manager 3.0 onto the hdd first partiton which is approx 400gb i then have a 32gb fat partition (windows tut) marked as active the rest is unallocated space

it works ok but i was tryin to 1. speed it up it will load the covers from the hdd faster than the sd..

      2. get rid of the sd alltogether (or is this not possible)

im going to try copying the wiiflow data file from their site putting that on the fat partition

and leaving out the wiiflow prog from the sd

make sure the wiiflow folder is in a apps folder on the fat32 partition.
try deleting the covers and the config file from the wiiflow folder take off the wiiflow folder from the sd card.

update.. i have tried what you suggested on my system , but i still have a problem.

I think the issue lies in the fact my FAT partition is not the 1st on the drive.

Installed Wiiflow on my kids one(FAT partition at the front of disc) with no problems and its all running from the HDD. no sd even in the machine.

            Thanks CK

It shouldn't matter where the fat partition is what has happened on your kids one is that by removing the sd card hbc automatically loads from hdd. My fat partition is third on the drive I hav wbfs then ntfs then fat32. The default setting for hbc is to load from sd you can select load from hdd in options section of hbc and still have sd card in but I have found it a bit unstable as it keeps trying to revert back to sd loading just ccopy all your wiiflow settings th fat partition and remove sd but remember you cannot use a forwarder if you are loading from hdd you must load from hbc as a forwarder channels looks for files in sd slot

.. thanks.. CK makes sense, are you aware of a boot wiiflow forwarder that will check both before fail?.

Check out the forwarders section under installation on this page Wiiflow Installation and Settings and have a read through the rest of the page it is looking like with the correct file structure on the fat partition of hdd it should boot without sd card they do recommend that you run the games from fat 32 as well so to repartition you whole drive to fat it will make the issue about drive order go away but I could never get on with wiiflow and don't fancy auto boot because I am likely to make an arse of it if I mess about to much
