Now all working again is it safe to use the network to update hbc or shall i just leave as is

If it is working I would leave it. To be on the safe side install preloader and forget about it, this will your life saver if anything goes wrong with you wii. It happen to me that is why I am telling you this.

currently my wii is set as of the tut and 3.2e

only chose skip disk update in starfall or should i choose more

Starfall is good but preloader is more for emergency purposes. If for any reason you are trying to install something on you wii and it mess it up, preloader will be able to get you in HBC and do what ever you want from there. But before you install preloader make sure you remove starfall from your wii.

What system menu are you using mate 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 or 4.0 and what version PAL, NTSC OR NTSC-J?

Please let me know.

Ok mate this is what you got to do. Download it from this link:

For more indepth tutorial read tutorial inside folder


1. Extract it to your PC, make a folder call preloader in apps folder on your sd card.
2. Rename preloaderv0.29-cred.dol to boot.dol (if not already renamed) and put it the folder you just created.
3. Put the hack.ini file in the root of your SD card. Go to HBC and launch preloader.
4. OK now select Pre Loader from the HomeBrew Channel.
****** Read the warning and press 1 to install.*****
IF YOUR SYSTEM DOESNT REBOOT INTO PRELOADER, SIMPLY POWER DOWN AND POWER UP ONCE MORE, BUT AS SOON AS YOU POWER UP, PRESS AND HOLD RESET
5. Select “System hacks” ->
6. Enable all the hacks you would like, (recommended - Skip Updates, Move Disc Channel)
7. Select "save settings" and wait for confirmation message to display “Settings Saved”
8. Press B, and enter Settings
9. Set "auto boot: System" (using the D-Pad Arrows), and save settings with A, then Press B
10. Get back to the system menu. By selecting “Load System Menu”
11. If you want to get into preloader menu in the future, just switch wii on and press reset button.

That is it, you have just protected your wii and if anything happen to your wii in the future, at least you know it is protected.

N.B: If you already have starfall installed please remove it first then install preloader. Starfall is good but it only works with 3.2 version whereas preloader works with all and goes beyond starfall alltogether.

i have had green screen how do i avoid this please

Are you playing Sim racing burnt on dvd or usb? If it is USB try installing the latest rev, hopefully this will fix it.
