    Can not play any games

Just softmoded 4.2U with Mauifrog"s "Mod Any Wii" and installed the newest USB GX loader but still can't play any games. Games all show up on screen and I have downloaded all covers for them but when I hit play I get a black screen with the message "Error, please consult your Wii manual" Gammes are all on a WD USB Drive and play fine on a different modded Wii and the mod went smooth with all OK's. Copy of System Check below:

This Wii was Ver. 4.2U which I attempted to modify with the Fusion Modkey. Apparently the Modkey was defective as it shorted out the disk drive and resulted in me sending it out to have a stuck disk removed. The tech informed me of the defect and said I would need a new drive to make it functional again, he also removed the Modkey & the disk. I then decided to go the softmod route as I was already out $75.00 and did not want to spend another $100 for a new drive. In the meantime my wife picked up another Wii already modded and with a 1TB Usb drive loaded with games all of which seem to play. I copied all the games to a new USB drive, hooked it up to the new Wii and they played off of that drive also. After trying different Mod programs, all with failure, I then came across Mauifrog's "Mod Any Wii" Program which said Sucessfully Installed and thought I was good to go. I did not realize that it was also down grading me to 4.1. I then installed USB Loader GX Ver 2.0 and that's where I'm at now. No games will play although they all say loading........
then then screen goes black and a few seconds later the read your Wii manual message appears and I have to re-boot.

Why not put in in the bin, or give it to a charity.

            what format is the drive?
Remember: NTFS and FAT32 USB Loading will only work with Hermes cIOS222/223 v4+ or with cIOSx Rev19+
try installing this Digital Kaos - Downloads - cIOS249[57]-v20 for COD black ops

I'm not 100% on this but I'm sure I've read a wii with a totally dead dvd drive wont play copy games.
